Default UPDATE: Malfunction Light

This is a post stemming from a previous post in the Neon section under "weird thing happened." Long story short; 3 days ago my check engine light chimed on, went to dealer, said it could be a fluke and if it comes on again come back. Today, SATURDAY, the ONE DAY that my dealership is closed, it comes back on again. So after being educated in the OBD System I gave that a shot and a weird code popped up to me. Right after I did the ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON thing it said P 2097 then it said dONE and then the check engine light flashed 10 times. Now after reviewing the links that were given to me by crazy squee I noticed that there are "P-Codes," however P 2097 wasn't in there at all. Then I went to deciphering the check engine flashes but the only problem was that yes, it flashed ten times, but I couldn't distinguish between the cruitial "pause" inbetween that tells you what the codes actually is. So I broke it down into four options. (#1) 37 Torque converter clutch solenoid CKT or park/neutral switch failure ( I highly doubt since I don't have a manual ) (#2) 46 Charging system voltage too low ( doubt that because my battery and ignition seems to be flawless ) (#3) 55 End of error messages (If you get this only, no errors were found) ((um... if this was the case I wouldn't be having my CEL come on and stay on)) and finally option (#4) 64 Catalytic Converter Efficiency Failure... now this one I might buy becuase my engine has been sounding a little rough lately and during the cold mornings here when I start my car the engine sounds HORRIBLE! This horrendous *clak-clak-clak-clak* noise comes out for about the first 10 minutes that the car is idling. I just wanted some input from you guys to see if you know what might be going on and whether it's safe to drive it until monday?

If you DON'T have a manual, that means that could apply to you.

If that does apply to me does that mean there'd be a problem with my shifting from park to drive or something

How did you dechifer the 10 flashes, sounds like a guess. I would try to ring the p-code again, maybe you just read it wrong.
