I think the words "A crock of ****" comes to mind..I've owned Dodges for 20 years and have NEVER had those types
of problems what so ever. I think this person who runs that site had a bad run in with DCX and they just want to get back at the company.. I just bought a 2004 Dodge Stratus.. the one thing that is totally true is the 2.7L I was told is junk..and that was from the dealership in town, said that the timing chain is defective and other things are killing these engines. AS far as the other stories
I have no clue.
My Stratus has a 2.4L DOHC :-)

Interesting to say the least. There are a few nuggets of truth in that site though. The 2.7 is a pos, as well as the A604 trans. I had a 91 dynasty with one. It had 6 trans put in it under warranty. My main problem with chrysler is how hard it is to get them to do the right thing. The recent durango recall is a perfect example. They knew about this problem for years, but chose to wait until they had no other choice. I'm finding the same situation with my wife's pos pacifica. That stupid thing was in the shop 47 business days in the first year of ownership. And it still is not fixed. It has several reoccurring issues in the front end. But the company is fighting me, an employee no less, on buying the car back. Just very frustrating, because I really don't want to sue my employer, and I really like chrysler products.

Hmmmm, what smileys best suit this thread... I think this one-
, but it's not really spam... So I'll just say
, remind people
, and
.
I'm not the biggest fan of DC at all, those of you who know how much work I've had to put into my Ram know this. But I know enough not to come to a DC based site and post anti-DC propaganda. It's like going to a Black Panther's meeting in a Klan robe, not a smart idea!
Been driving Mopar only since 1971, only recently changed over to 2002 Chevy 1500 for me and 2000 Impala LS for the wife. If it is an old car, I prefer Mopar. The new ones, since Daimler got involved anyway, just don't impress me as much. The chevy truck I got from my son, who had to move to a Chrysler minivan with a 3rd child on the way, and he took over my Dakota, to keep it in the family. I would like to get the Cummins Turbo Diesel 2500 some day, but not just yet.
All the Mopars I have had have been mostly trouble free, even the Volares that so many like to badmouth. At one time, while the kids were in school, we had 4 each 79 Mopars, either F or M bodies (Volares/Aspen/Diplomat/etc). Only minor maintenance on all of them, nothing major. The 96 Stratus, however, was a turning point. It leaked everything except gasoline. Water, freon, oil, and tranny fluid ended up on the garage floor. And it was a bear to work on once the warranty expired.
That is why we ended up with the Impala for the wife.
But once I get fully retired and living in Logan, Utah, I will get deeper into old Mopar iron. I already have a 40x40x14 shop on our lot, will build the house next year. Going to start restoring old Mopars for the grandkids.

Gotta agree with Snafu, having a problem is one thing but having a vendetta against a company is another. So I shouldn't wear my klan outfit to work in detroit either eh?[sm=icon_rofl.gif]
