I bought a used 1999 dodge ram 1500 it has the blinking red light on the center consol on the cieling for the alarm, but there is also one by the headlight switch but it just stays on. any idea how to turn it off?

Does the alarm work? If you don't want it on anymore you could just cut the wire.

i do want the alarm im just not sure which light the alarm is connected too...the blinking one on the mirrior or the steady one on the dash

usually they blink when they are armed and are solid when they are in valet mode. Maybe there was 2 alarms in there?

maybe but i do not know ho0w to take the one out of "valet mode"

Usually there is a button hidden somewhere. You turn the key to the on possition and hold the button till it goes off.
