Have you checked to see that the rotor is turning when cranking engine?

thanks for reply charlie1935. i have just gotten involved with this problem and last question i asked owner was "is rotor turning", he said it was,and this is a gearhead guy, but i dont think he has had much MOPAR experience. it will be a couple of days before i can get back on it and i will double back on everything he has tried. sometimes you cant see the forest for the trees, dqkid

If you are getting spark out of the coil and to the distributor, then the problem has to be in the distributor.

I'd vote for the distributor...[sm=smiley24.gif]

Also be timing chain. If the plastic are striped it won't go. Could have jumped a few teeth on the gear too.

If you replaced the cap, coil, and distributer then it could (rarly) be the plug wires... also check your timing...

He said,"it is not getting fire at plugs". Even if it jumps time, it will still provide spark, it will just fire the plugs at the wrong time.[sm=smiley2.gif]
