Syn will cost more than "regular" oil, but save you money in the long run...the military uses it, and I was a US Air Force "SAC Trained Killer" for 21 years and we never had an oil related problem with any of our vehicles....I swear by it and so do most experienced mechanics...it's factory fill for Vipers, so that should give you a clue....Mobil 1 and Amsoil are the leaders in the industry, Amsoil can set you up for a discount on your oil needs...

You probably want to run the first few thousand on regular oil to allow the rings and cylinder walls to scuff in. Also, if you have a leak or your engine starts comsuming oil, let it use the cheaper oil. Then switch to synthetic.

I'll second that, break it in on good 'ol dinosaur crude, then after 5,000 miles you can switch to the full synthetics. I would recommend either Mobil 1 or Amsoil.
