Default ram quit

The other night my Ram would quit and then start running again. when I got in town I would start it normaly when it died. 1 and 1/2 blocks from home it quit and wouldn't start anymore. I pushed it home, made me wish I was 40 or 50 years younger. After checking relays with a multimeter, Finally found a bad fuse in the power distribution center. The fuse was intact where it is supposed to blow. Checked bad with ohmeter, so evidently it came apart where it isn't visible. I've had the old type fuses do that before, but not the type we have nowdays. Has anybody else had this happen?

I've had that happen before as well. What year Ram do you have, and which fuse was it?

My Ram is a 96, the fuse that was bad was one of the ignition fuses. I foeget which one, they are next to each other.

My Ram is a 96 also. I got myself stranded with a blown Engine Controller fuse in the Power Distribution Center. It seems I caused this myself. [:@] I have the open element K&N FIPK and the mounting stud rubbed through the wiring harness on the cowl. After re-wrapping the bare wire(s), tie-wrapping the harness further back under the cowl, and replacing the fuse, everything was back to normal.
