Default motor turns off when cold?

73 dodge will start ok with choke and then just stop
then it will start again wth little effort run for a moment and then die again and so on and so on till the motor warms up.
it wont turn off after it runs for a few minutes then runs just fine. allthough i still need to tune the carb.

i think the fuel level is ok .
i have spring loaded needle seat assembly

it acts as if the control module is bad .i swaped it allready, not the problem.
i will install a vacuum gauge when it arrives in the mail.

any thoughts on this ?

i thought about getting some thicker gaskets where the intake and head meet .

I would give the original carb a rebuild and also check your fuel pressure.

I never liked Edelbrock carbs. They seem to flood out especially when extreme angels are preformed. I prefer the older CARTER ABF series.
