anymore..cobras are about as exciting as a civic with a body kit, but faster.

and a .702 lift? seeing much street action?

I could be wrong but I think most 408 setups for the 360 use the stock bore but gain displacement due to a longer stroke. So technically there isn't any machining, do a google for 408 stroker, there's a fairly nice setup out there for ~$1400.

hmmm..i know the 340 strokes to 421..i know someone who runs one, and it hauls. im not personally familiar with the 408 setup...it could be bore and stroke...

Close. It's a .030" overbore with a 4.00" stroke crank. The block probably needs to be notched for clearance.

You are correct, 0.030" overbore, my mistake.

I have been seriously contemplating it Come next spring when I can ride my motorcycle on a regular basis, I am going to tear into the engine (360... obviously). I plan on going to a 408, and possibly supercharging too... not sure yet. I don't want to build up for HP though, it is going to be all about low end torque (obviously still more high end HP then stock...).
