A 408 stroker comes about by boring out your 360ci block to a 408ci block and adding the appropriate internal parts. A 408 will push out around 400 hp depending on what you use. There are places that you can get all the parts you need for 3 to 4 grand....but you still have to find a michine shop.

Sure for that price you can just a a super charger...but hey...you can always super charge a 408 too!!! LOL

Yeah KRC performance has some awesome 408 kits. I have looked at doing it but not to sure yet I am getting my Kenne Bell S/C in around Feb so waiting to see what I put down then. After that prob add a set of Aluminum heads. But need to build the tranny up before going to crazy or else it will blow out in no time.

I heard that they aren't living to long doing drag duty. That's the trouble with stoker motors.

for that kind of money, it woudl be less trouble to go through kennebell and get their dakota kit. that way, it doesnt affect the life of the engine so much, because i think the kennebell piece only applies like 8 poundsof pressure. or bigger....

What you need is a 502 stroker with blue thunder heads, offenhouser intake and some huge headers.
