Caliper painting
Hey my buddy just got rims for his mustang and we were planning on paiting his calipers a nice silver color... Well I have heard of multiple ways of doing it on the car and off. Ifell alot more comfortable doing it on the car cause then we don't have to bleed the brakes after words.. I was wondering what your thoughts on this our.. and if anyone can give us a good how to to follow... Its a 2000 mustang
You want a product called Plastikote, its designed specifically for painting calipers. It comes in a spray can. You can also go with Duplicolor, as they have a complete kit but you have to apply it with a brush.
Plasti-kote Click on the Where to Purchase icon/link and it will give a box that you put in your zip code and it will show available stores....
Duplicolor Same thing as above, click the Where to buy icon/link

Its easier and will come out better if you remove them and tape them off. As for paint, use caliper paint, any Autozone or other parts store will carry it, if you look around a little you can probally find any color you want.
