03 Hemi Transmission Problem
My transmission in my 03 Hemi is screwed and i only have 25,000 miles on it. Anyone else have this problem? Or does anybody know of any specific tranny problems they've been having with them?
Dodgemech can probably tell you more about it but,,,
Torque Management Request. This is a mod that you can do on an 03 Hemi that allows a harder launch and firmer shifts by cutting out an input to the PCM. It's done by disconnecting a wire to the computer.
If you serach this board for "TMR" you can probably learn more. I've also heard that this mod is really reducing the life of the tranny.
Hope your problems are easily solved. Keep us informed if you can. Thanks.

Oh crap ive been looking for information on that because ive been wanting to try it out. Does it void warranty? And i took my truck to the dealer today and they said it was just a sensor so no boggie. Somsone give me more info on the TMR PLEEEEASE
I'd be a little hesitent about playing with the torque management system on these trucks, the 45rfe is a really good transmission. Notice I didn't say really strong transmission, I'm pretty sure Chrylser never intended to hit that thing with 350 ft lbs from a HEMI. I know how fun it must be in bypass mode but I wouldn't do it and tell anybody about it-YES it will void all powertrain warranty if anybody at the dealer finds out your TMR has been tampered with. Glad your tranny is OK Hemiram

Your not alone in this, I know of several people have problems with their automatics in their Hemi Rams. One of which has been back to the dealership enough times already that it might fall under the lemon law.
A few months ago I was at a stop light next to a Harely and got into a conversation with him about his bike and my truck. He said he also had a Hemi and warned me to take it easy on the transmission because it was not not big enough to handle the power put out by the Hemi. Anyone else hear of this?
I've taken it easy on my 04 so far, but sometimes I notice that sometimes it down shifts a little hard when I'm turning onto the street that I live on.
