Default 2000 Durango turn signal issue...

Both of the turn signals (and hazzard lights)on a 2000 Durango will "blink" only 3-4 times and then stop. I checked the fuses and they were OK. I suspect the problem is the "[/b]Turn Signal Relay", so I bought a new one. I can't locate the relay switch to replace it, isit located under the dash? Or, under the hood in the driver area? Can anyone make a suggestion? Thanks.

I suspect the turn signal relay from the fuse box but they said it was not correct. I cannot locatethe relay -is located under the dash? Or under the hood on the driver side? the 2000 durango uses a 12v 5 prong flasher to run the turn-signals. The replacement part is about $34 from a dealer or $13 froma part store...

remove the old flasher, which is located under the dash on the drivers side, adjacent to the driver's side door behind the side panel fuse box. then simply plug the new flasher into the slot (top slot). ta-da you are done. That'd run about $60 at the dealer.
