Why???
Why do people insist on calling the 300C something else? I've actuallyhad people argue with me that onl the HEMI version is the "C". Drives nuts-they are ALL 300C's, it's like saying the Magnum is only a Magnum if it has the HEMI.
Next thought, why would anyone buy a 300C without the HEMI? It's like 3K difference and the mileage is about the same, seems like a waste.

RE: Why???
I hate to disagree... but you have been mislead, without the Hemi it is a Chrysler 300... with the Hemi it is the 300 C.
Take a look for yourself:
300 (2.7L V6)
300 Touring (3.5L V6)
300 Limited (3.5L V6)
300 C (5.4L Hemi V8)

Click the car to see the option it has to the right...

RE: Why???
I'll have to check that on Monday. I just got done doing the PDI on 2 cars Friday. Both were 5.7 HEMI's and both were badged as touring edition cars. When I did the factory training for the LX launch the "C" replaced the "M" on the previous model. The different trim/performance options had no bearing on the nameplate.

RE: Why???
I can definately confirm what both Amanda and magnum have said. Only the 5.7L Hemi 300's are badged with the "C", just as only the 5.7L Magnums are badged with the R/T. You can get the 3.5L in a Chrysler 300 Limited (I drive one of these, love it) or a 300 Touring, or in the Dodge Magnum SXT, the 2.7L is only in the Chrysler 300 or the Magnum SE.

RE: Why???
OK, I checked, it seems they train us one way and tell the public/sales something else. The 300C was to replace the 300M, it was not originaly going to be offered with any other engine. When they decided to offer the 3.5/2.7 option (again I ask why) they gave the original "C" designation to the 5.7 option.
