Oh yeah and if you are permited, you hafta find a RHD vehicle or order one from your favorite automaker. No conversion that I know of except for I think on the old *****'s Jeeps You could convert them easily.
What have you been smoking? You can have and drive a RHD vehicle in the U.S.
There are MANY around. Saturn was the most recent mfg. to market one (a flop).
You don't have to be a postal subcontractor to buy one either. ANYONE can purchase and drive one.

The few conversions I've seen were retro fit GARBAGE!!!!
it might be cheaper to buy one overseas .... ship it home & get it EPA inspected
A friend of mine just got a RHD Lambrogini Countach ... It took 8 months & $3,000 (had to install Lambo cats) But it's in his garage
I do apologise, I have done some reasearch. RHD is legal, however, most cars that are RHD and are imported to the US do not meet emisions and safety standard in the US and therefore are not registerable. If you can get a crash test sheet for the import version, and it passes, and put cats and emision system on it then you can have a RHD vehicle legal on the road.
