I was trying to install a trailer brake on my 2001 Dodge Dakota when the brake lights stopped working. The lights turn on when the headlights are on, but they do not turn on when compressed. I checked the fuses and replaced the bulbs, but have not had any luck yet. The trailer brake was not wired correctly initially and there was a definite spark. Any suggestions? I would really appreciate any help at all! Which fuses run to the brake lights? Does anybody have any wiring diagrams or schematics for this year? Also, does anybody know what each wire in the wiring harness for the trailer brake on the truck is for? Thank you
