ok here is the deal. My cat clogged a few months back, and my question is would light driving around town for a couple months hurt my engine? I was just wondering if any problems could arise from driving on a clogged cat. It is a 2000 neon 2.0, atx. Thanks for the help.
cut it off or hollow it out makes it louder and it will have more power but make sure you get all the stuff out cause i didnt on mine and i have converter parts sliding out my exhaust and getting stuck at the bends
just replace it, i would run combustion chamber cleaner through it just incase that light slow city driving built up carbon elsewhere. clogged cats are the worst for engines, exhaust gasses cant escape so they put backpressure on the exhaust valves and everything just gets really hot.
