Default Fire order 4x7 swap

Recently on Power Block TV they changed the firing order on a Chevy engine (Swapped cams to change cylinders 4 and 7 in the order) any idea if there is an application for Dodge 5.2?

They gained that 30 horse from putting a cam in They didn't gain it from swapping the firing order. And besides, that's a chevy motor. Different breed of animal [8D]

You can gain up to 45 with the Mopar Performance cam and the right intake mods

Right, the new cam changed the firing order of # 4 and 7 cylinders. Maybe it's just a Chev thing. What kind of cam and intake mods would you recommend? Right now I have Stage II Jet chip, 180 thermo, K&N filter, 3†exhaust w/ Magna Flow muffler, high flow cat, Accel coil. On a 97 318 w/ 90k miles

Dump the jet chip - http://www.rm-indy.com/Jet_Sucks.htm

I would suggest a mopar M1 intake manifold, a throttle body from www.thefastman.com, and a K&N FIPK.

As for a camshaft, I recommend this one: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...+0&appfilter=1 It's EXACTLY the same as the Mopar Performance camshaft that's no longer in production. It's a very good cam.

I would also suggest a set of Gibson headers and/or possibly going down in exhaust size a little. 3" is borderline on being too large for the 318. You actually see some loss in torque by running it.

Thanks for the tips. I’ll have to look into some of those parts. Yeah with the jet chip I’ve never really been able to check if it really worked. I did a few mods at the same time.
