Default Dual exhaust?

I have never had anything but stock exhaust on all of my vehicles. I purchased a 2006 5.7 Hemi 1500 6 months ago and was wandering what would be a good set up. I talked to a muffler business and he recommended Flowmaster 50's. I don't know if this is good or not, I would like to have something that sounds good, but not to awful loud. Mainly one that does not have alot of cabin noise. I'm a rookie at all of this, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

stay clear of the super 40.....I'm running it now and its almost as loud inside as it is outside. It is their loudest series muffler.

go here to get a sound clip of all the mufflers flowmaster offers.

I agree with Red98ram, go for it. I got headers and Flowmaster Dual exhaust but I like it loud.If you want to go a bit quieter, don't go with headers, but try the 3 chamber Flowmaster.

I personally got magnaflows... They offer a DEEP great sound.... But they aren't very loud.... .I love them... I am sold on mags.... Flowmasters in my opinion are built to be loud....Not great sounding.

I think that mags and borla are trying to hard to get a tuned, more refined sound out of the exhaust. I like to hear more engine, and less muffler. IMO Flowmaster Super 40'sare a muffled straight pipe, which is the sound I was looking for.

I like'm LOUD, But thats juust my opion,[sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=crossbonesgif.gif][sm=gears.gif][sm=insomnia.gif][sm=nxsmile.gif]
the Force muffler is a cheaper Flowbaster same sounds for less $50 or $90,Dynomax ultra flows, www.Classicchambered.com(great muffler if installed backwards so that the gases flow over the louvers, Flowbaster Super 40 or Outlaws or One-Chambers, www.Cherrybomb.com Extreme or Glasspack (?I ordered a glass pack for my moms s-10 blazer it was in an IMCO box and wrapper?), and the Morso sprial muffler.

mines a gutted cat,
fastman simm,
2.50" pipe,
a race muffler (to pass the inspection),
and a turndown

***If You gut the cats get a Fastman SIMM before so the MIL doesn't come on***
