And did that combination work OK, I think because of the weights, balancing and stuff?
And guys, thanks a lot for all the info!

If the torque converter is truly neutral balance, it'll work just fine.

I've just tried to align the tc one more time, just to double check.. I looked closer through the gaps and saw an impressed sign on front surface of the tc housing, 2928M. I also noted that still there are two small round weight plates attached to the outer linning of the housing, so now i don't know if these are weights for neutral balance (as they are pretty tiny) or I maybe have weighted tc that can't fit here?

Done. I enlarged the offset hole so that the screw fits. Had everything installed and tested and TC seems to work fine, car accelerates from 0-60 MPH in about 7 seconds, shifting seems to be smooth, no jerks, excessive vibrations or similar. I want to thank once again for all Your help!

Now for the down side..
As I said this is my first vehicle with automatic transmission so I am still not familiar with it. However, I have a feeling that something is wrong with shifting timing from 2nd to 3rd gear. When driving in normal city conditions, with some 1/3 to 1/2 throttle (so I am NOT talking about WOT), it will mostly shift from 1st to 2nd gear at some 2.200 RMP and from 2nd to 3rd at the same point, when engine reaches 2.200 RPM again and soon after that, at about 50MPH it will shift into overdrive. That seems to be OK. However, ocassionaly while driving in 2nd, it will just not shift into 3rd until more than 3.000 RMP / over 50 MPH are reached and right after then right after 3rd it will shift to OD. That looks like the car is stuck into 2nd and I need to accelerate too much to force it to shift further. Again, I am talking about normal driving, not WOT. This doesn't happen all the time, but often enough to make me nervous while cruising around stuck in 2nd gear with 3000 RPM.

I did a lot of research and ended up thinking that it might be governor pressure sensor/solenoid? I changed both during overhaul, BUT I purchased refurbished parts instead of brand new (stupid, I know). However, if I am correct, at 2nd to 3rd gear shift point and on governor pressure should go to maximum as its upshifting role is finished, so nothing is left to be regulated by governor pressure right? So the PCM should actually turn off the GP solenoid at this point by cutting off its ground thus making governor pressure equal with line pressure, right? And that makes me thinking that GP sensor has no affect on this - if PCM will determine desired governor pressure at max level when shifting point for 3rd gear is reached, then it will just turn off the solenoid regardless of sensor input. Please correct me if I am wrong.

So my idea was to detach the GP solenoid GROUND wire from the PCM inlet harness, then to improvise an adapter to lead it through the cabin and back to PCM. So while driving I could measure the voltage from this wire to ground and monitor if the PCM cuts the GP solenoid off or not. I could also test it by detaching the wire from PCM at some point while driving, thus manually turning off the GP solenoid which should make the tranny momentarily sfift into 3rd gear if everyting is OK mechanically. Now am I right and does this sound like a good idea or I missed something? Thanks again.
