Question,2016 Jeep Cherokee TrailHawk (wifes ride).Decided to get very hot passenger side rear .pulled temp with laser 248 c .Suspected a bad bearing maybe.But now has changed to drivers rear.All others are at 40 degrees c.Could anyone shed some light on what i should start with?Was thinking new rotor/calp/pads ect/bearing .When the 1st instance happened on passenger rear.Any help would be super appreciated.

Are there individual lines going to the rear brakes? One for each side, from the ABS module?

 

Thank-You for responding.Yes seperate lines with some sort of valve inline.Peaccock valve?maybe?Do caliper plunger pins fail or get gummy,was thinking maybe change out pins?

 

They do get sticky, but, just taking them out, cleaning them, re-lubing, is usually all it takes to get them to behave.
