1994 dodge shadow... please help
Ok I have a 1994 Dodge Shadow with a 2.5L Its has 98,000 miles on it.
So heres the story and problem.
I just recently purchased the car. And soon after my head gasket blew out. When i took the top half apart i realized i had to replace every gasket on the top and all the hoses because they were dried out majorly. So after cleaning up and replacing everything I found my vacuum hose diagram didnt show where one of the hoses on the throttle body goes to.
But anyways i dont have 1 hose hooked up (it was already broken off before i started) cant find where it goes. And the only way im hearing on how to put this car back in time is by lining a 0 up in the hole in the bell housing. Ive tried everything i can yet i cant get my car to even fire up. all she does is crank n crank.
What am i doing wrong? what are the possibilties. I badly need help on this.[/align]
Sound like you didn't time the belt with all the sprockets.
Try this and tell me if you got them right.

where the red line comes out of the throttle body is it its about a half inch to an inch below the 2 beside it

I believe your right. Thanks man.
I still cant get her running though. I reworked my vacuum lines and checked the tgiming again and today i sprayed some ether in and she fired enough to shoot a flame out the throttle body but she wont start still. and she only occasionally fires up

Ok thanks for the advice i finally got her running. she has another problem though. When im going up a hill no matter how small it is she loses power and i have to shirt from drive to second and sometimes first. i can put the pedal to the floor and she still loses alot of speed. and shes slow on take off. any ideas??

Demon, I think your problem is coming from ****ty HP, the shadow depending on 2.2 , 2.5, turbo, and age only has around 100 hp.
You could try replacing your spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, I did that when I bought my 93 shadow, I only had 3 firing plugs hehe.

I already replaced all plugs wires and the distributer cap she fires blue on all 4 plugs. so thats not the problem. and before my head gasket blew out she ran alot better than she is now i want her back to at least how she was. She is below normal i mean ive seen chevettes and station wagons do better than she is now shes got something wrong with her.
