Sounds like vacuum lines to me. You should just replace them all. You can go to the auto parts store and it's like $0.50/foot for vacuum line.

 

Thats what Im hopin it is (for his sake lol) I would also change the PCV valve and elbow/hose connected to it. He said he was gonna take it to the mechanic (close friend of his) and have him take a look at it.

 

I have a hard time trusting mechanics.

 

So far so good. I made it througn my daily thing without getting killed. I am leaving in about twenty minutes to take the Dynasty to my mechanic. I trust this guy - he is a close family friend, and has been in business going on six years.

Will keep you all posted with updates. He says he's going to drive it home tonight (he lives 15 miles from his shop) so he'll feel if there are any problems.

 

Yea I hear ya on that, last time I got my oil changed they bitched me out cuz i had a cell phone and wouldnt give them the # lmao, plus they charge too much when I can do it for 1/3 of the price by myself.

 

I've got my bet on the tranny. Only other thing could be the MAP sensor.

Hate to say it, but your 604 tranny is CRAP.

 

Your bet on the tranny is most likely incorrect. It stalls under load which is most likely a vacuum line.
