Dynasty transmission issue?
My 1990 Dynasty has a problem.
I was on my way to the store today, and the car started to jerk while I was doing 40 or so. This got much worse as I started going slower. I ended up stalling ... I somehow got into a parking lot, where the car stalled some more.
Symptoms:
- Car starts just fine. Purrs and all.
- Starts to jump when you take it out of park/neutral; stalls immediately after, check engine light comes on.
- Makes whirring noise (could not tell where it came from) for about 2 minutes when it DOES let me drive.
Again, this is a 1990 Dodge Dynasty LE, with about 101k miles on the 3.3L V6.
So far I'm thinking it's the transmission. Any ideas?

All depends, there are a few vacuum lines that run in behind the valve cover over to the front (from looking at the car from the front) left fender. Its a farily common problem of these lines going bad on these cars I had to replace all of mine already. Just check them for cracks/broken spots if you dont want to fully replace them you can buy some rubber hose and connect the 2 parts together.
Sorry if I'm making this more difficult than it really is... would you mind if I took a picture and sent it to you? I want to be absolutely sure of what I'm doing before I go messing with the car.
I really appreciate this. Thanks!

I just hope I took pics of the right stuff. I'm really lost with this - and on top of that I need my car. Ouch.

All of them? I took a pic of all the hoses I could find.
I am going to take this to my mechanic tomorrow... but in order to get there, I need to make a ~30 minute drive. Is it safe for me to drive this thing? The stalling - at least as of right now - has happened only twice. Any ideas of stuff I can do to make the car "last" until I can get it to my mechanic? I don't want to get killed tomorrow.
Also - what are the chances of this actually being my problem?
Sorry again for all the questions; as you can tell this has me concerned, big time.

The vacuum hoses have alot to do with how the car runs..so they could be part of the cause of stalling. I see that its the V6 aswell which I dont know as much about, I have 2 Shadows; both have the 2.5 L4. When the car stalls does it start right back up? If so dont worry and drive it to the mechanic, Unless the car is low on oil/trans fluid/coolant you wont hurt much if anything at all.
Also if you can run outside a second and check for codes, to do this turn the key to the ON position (right before start) 3 times really fast (on, off, on, off, on) and watch the check engine light it will blink a sequence of all error codes (really helpful in these situations) heres the site that explains them but post what they are if any. http://www.allpar.com/fix/80s-codes.html
