can i put a bov on my 2.5L turbo, and how do you know the difference between a turbo I and turbo II

 

turbo 2 has a sensor on the intake right in the middle of the intake and a intercooler t1 doesn't have eather (quickest way to explain it) and yes you can put a bov (blow off valve on a t1 or any turbocharged car) it might allredy have one on there know check in the air box where the air filter is and there will be a vacume hose hooked to it.

it's on the air box with a smaller vacume hose going to it, inside the air box take out a little square filter and you'll see a bov *there's also a hose coming from the throttle body to turbo hose to the filter area*. If it doesn't have I have explaned it doesn't have one. the factory one is only good up to 15psi of boost anyway's. well you could go as high as 300 horse out of the TIII or on a common block about 250 horses.I run 14 lbs boost on a mostly stock 2.5 turbo block using a log style intake and a auto tranny with a garret t3 turbine. and the only thing that concerns me is cracking a tranny if i go to a intercooled TII.But i can boost off the line and shift and only lose 2 lbs boost what tranny are you using auto/manual?But i don't want to crank up more power beacuse if i switch to a manual tranny i just lost a lot of value on my laser it is a 1986 laser xt/w t- tops red exterior black interior and mark cross interior only 4000 made and only 200 left that i know of.it only has 64000 miles and if you look under the hood it looks all original. even has the infinity 3 stereo still installed and all the build sheet matches.Except engine block and head came off 1987 lebaron gs convertible but it still is a swirl z782 head
