The cuda was my mom's, and willed to me. It was a LONG term project, but has 1K miles on it now. The Prowler was purchased on a whim. I saw it on marketplace, locally. It is as clean underside, as top. LOL...I had to have it. It's the most fun I've had with a factory car, over 50 years and 300 cars. Recently became ragtop people.... At my friend's shop and annual show. 6.4/NAG1, and updated everything.
CEMA car show at the Auburn Hills FCA US headquarters.
The Prowler is perfect as-is. Th HO 3.5 made about the same hp as the Magnum V8's, weighed less, and took up less room. As is, the car is 50/50 weight distribution. They run high 14 second ET's. That's the same as stock musclecars of yore.
I never liked Prowlers, till I really looked at one. Chrysler's exercise in aluminum.
The prowler needed a V-8 from the factory. That would have made it MUCH more fun.
Couldn't agree more, Why build a cool looking outside (less the bumpers)and put in a wimpy motor. This is just one of a few cars they should have put more powerful mills in. I wish their though process back then was more like today. They where toying with the idea of making a v6 turbo that never made it to production. That would have been a better option.
Now they make 2-ton+ boats, that all look the same, and haven't changed since 2006 and 2008, respectively. Very imaginative. LOL
They're like the old Grand Nationals....go fast in a straight line.
