i now have 22K on stock tires and desperately need new ones. i did a search and couldn't find anything recent about new tires and was just wandering what everyone suggests i get. i'm going to keep the stock rims for now and go with a 215/50 but i don't know if the kdw2's are worth it or not. i don't plan on running to 180+ which is what they're rated at. maybe 140 or so. i don't really drive in the rain, definitely not in the snow. so bfg, goodyear, kumho, toyo, etc.? thanks for the help.
first, i would not reccomend putting 215s on the stock rims. while there are some who have done it without problem, the stockers are only 6" rims, 205s is actually pretty wide for that width of a rim. but i bought the KDWs for replacements (although im still on the origionals) and have a set of dedicated snow tires for winter driving.
the stock bfg's sure do get loud and wandery when they show some age. I like goodyear eagle f1's,they are on my other car. please do not skimp on tires there is a reason these cars came with the "ultra high performance" class of tires. i have found you get what you pay for especially with tires.
