You guys are smoking crack! Im sick of hearing how you owned a STi in your SRT-4. Stock vs stock, an STi will run a 13.2 in the quarter versus 13.9-14.2 for an SRT-4. Magazines have proven it over and over again, so please get off your high horse. The only variance to these results would be if the driver completely sucked *** and didnt know a thing about driving stick shift. I mean I own an SRT-4 for christsakes, and Im sick of all you cocky *** SRT-4 owners thinking you can beat everything on the road. It gives the rest of us a bad name.

wrx's are pretty quick especially a built one. i ran across one a month or so ago and at first i was kinda cocky since i had beaten them several times( i got st2, motor mounts, etc.). then we took off, or should i say HE took off. walked all over me. when i finally caught back up to him all i could say was damn! he said he had 411 hp in his wrx so i didn't feel too bad. point is you can make anything fast with the right money/knowledge. i almost bought one myself because the sti costs too much for me.

Yeah the STI is a great vehicle. Better suspension, low 13's, and a damn near indestructable block and tranny make them great but the extra $10,000 is alot. Really they aren't that expensive to mod either.

Stock vs. stock an SRT-4 will beat a WRX straight line or on a track with equally skilled drivers, the WRX doesn't have that great of a suspension (the STi does) and it has crap for tires. The WRX and it's AWD does give the driver greater confidence through the turns by being RWD biased and giving better feedback allowing them to know when it's at it's limit. In C&D's Cheap Speed Round 23 the SRT-4 was an ACR, but it's times and skidpad were the same, if not worse, than your average SRT-4 and it was 1st in all performance categories except the skidpad which the RSX won (SRT-4 was .86g vs. the RSX's.88g and the WRX was in last with .80g). The WRX was next to last or dead last in every performance test, but this isn't to say that the WRX isn't a good performer because it is a great performer all around, it's just not as great as some think. All the cars in that test were the best performing version of each car except the WRX which is only the middle between the plain Imprezza and the STi and the STi would beat them all. But since there was a $25,000 cap on the comparison the WRX was in and the STi out. Any car has it's strengths and weaknesses, look at the Mini Cooper which doesn't have much power, but with the wheels pushed all the way out to the corners it handles like no other and can go through turns without hitting the brakes.

Just two things, Subarus sound like ****, I mean, really crappy, annoying, old bmw boxer ****ty. If you can handle that, cheers. 2nd, every lesbian I know, knew, drove a subaru. Gays and Lesbians love their subarus, hell they had the lpga girlzzz doing adds for them. So if you still like the car, great. I am sure it will bring you many gay days.

I don't think you caught the part where I said I didn't want to spend $35k on a car or deal with that insurance, or the fact that this wrx will be paid off as my truck is and they are identical in price. As for the gay comment, I am glad to see you are way too uncomfortable with your own sexuality that you have to strike on gay people that way, cheers for you bud. I have a beautiful girlfriend and could honestly care less if some internet closet homo tough guy like your self calls me gay or whatever. Have a nice evening guy and I really hope you can come out of the closet soon as it seems you are about to explode with rage over your pentup homosexual tendencies.
