mopar intake/exhaust
Sorry If I confused you. What I meant was that the mopar/borla exhaust is more restrictive than a 3" turboback because it is smaller in diameter, only 2.5". However it is larger than stock (2.25") exhaust but still only provides a small gain in power. If you have the cash go for a full 3" turboback exhaust which includes a downpipe + catback sections. This will help the exhaust flow more freely and allow your turbo to work more efficiently.
Check with your dealer on how they treat mods under the warranty. I've got the mods listed in my sign. and have had the car in twice for warranty work and did not get any questions or have to pay any $$. One of the issues was engine related and my only bitch was that I had to wait 3 days for the part.
One extra thing I did was to print out all the postings from this forum and the"other" forumthat showed my issue was a common problem regardless ofthe mods on the car and I presented the stack of papers to the service tech...............like I said, no charge and free coffee and donuts!!!

PS, if you go the M/B exhaust route, be prepared to adjust the tips a few times before they "set in".

after doing alittle research on modernperformance.com, i've decided to go with the K&N CAI with the mopar exhaust. save some bucks and see what i can do for installation. thanks for all the great insight everyone, and i hope to talk to you all again soon!!
i don't know. i'll find out tuesday when fedex drops it off. i figured they've had the parts for a while so they can just sell them for what they've been charging all along. unlike the dealer, who just decided to rake us by upping the price a hundred bucks. oh well, we'll see.
the parts came in last night, and i ripped into the boxes to check the merchandise. they all look good. brand new and shiney. so far so good. i've got a mechanic friend who's gonna help me with the install so i'll keep ya updated after i get everything finished
