i mean its not a full 3", but i like mine. the only issue i have heard of is that the elbow by the turbo can 'suck' shut a bit. but if your that worried about it you can replace that elbow with different material, home depot would probably have some alternatives like pvc pipe. just cut it to fit.

ok so i put both the CAI and exhaust on last night and it's amazing!! i can't turn on the radio cuz i'm so in love with listening to the turbo spool up. it's so much louder now and i love it. the only problem i have is that the tips are still adjusting themselves and are kinda close to the body work. i don't like the idea of hot metal rubbing against my paint. any suggestions on how to get the tips to sit right? i knew going in that it could be a problem, but i REALLY don't like it touching. thanks!!

You just gotta mess with the tips until you get them lined up. I went the cheap way and used some industrial zip ties on the hangers.... Then I just got the side exit and rolled the bumper. There is a TSB on misaligned tips, not that it actually means anything to a dealership, and especially since yours is aftermarket.....

i gave up on adjusting mine. when it's cold the driver's side sits forward about an inch more than the passenger side. then when the exhaust warms up, it moves out even with the other side. i have faught and faught to get those things to be even-- bending the hanger bracket, zip ties, etc.-- but nothing. i can't see them when i'm in the car so i guess it doesn't matter.

it probalby only gave me 5 or 10hp. but the sound is much better, turbo spooling up and all. not to mention the amount of space it freed up.

i dont think you got them tightened and alained up properly if your adjusting them like that i adjusted mine then tightened it after i got up about 2-3 times and held one side while i tightened the other after that i have had no issues.
