Default SRT in print

This is for all of you that like to see your car in print. I think last months road and track compared the srt with the saturn ion red line. Which one edged the other out? The srt edges the ion by a small margin, braking and handling hold the srt back. also the november issue of Cargo magazine has an article on how "light up the streets with your neon." They talk about a mopar stage III kit that lists for 3800 bucks and will get a MINIMUM of 310hp. Its kinda cool to see the srt in mags, and gettin' some respect. Just putting this out there for those who like to read article about there car. Enjoy. PEACE

interesting no brakes?!!! but anyways. I have to go test drive this ion red line, it was tuned at Nurburing(sic) so justifibly the thing can handle. But they also said the stock tires on the srt couldn't take the heat, they were throwing rubber left and right and looked pretty bad in the close up. They also said the lsd did an awsome job, and puts the srt ahead in tight corners, the ion would spin the inner tire. But the power from the srt just blows the doors off the ion. Once again conservative, bland gm messes up! You may get excited by there saab offering, but all that it is is a subaru wrx, look closely and it is blazing apparent that it does not look anything like a saab, how cheap is that. I would rather have the srt. Plus who wants a supercharger, turbos are all the rage!!! End of story. PEACE

Last I read the SRT-4 had some of the best brakes out there with 60-0 MPH in only 112 ft. and no fade under heavy braking. But then again it all comes down to driver and weather/road conditions as well.

'bump'

yeah, the srt actually has great brakes- they put up good #'s. and if the tires are throwing rubber it's b/c they had the car set up wrong- that has nothing to do w/ the tire (well, to a point, but these are more than sturdy enough to hold up to laps)- it sounds like they were underinflated and had no camber, and i would guess too much toe on top of that.
oh, and it's nurburgring, in case you care...[sm=smiley23.gif] (those are my nerd glasses)

Went and saw a few races at the "ring" when we were in Germany....the speeds make autobahn driving seem kinda tame......
