Need some opinions...
No auto, you wouldn't really want one would ya? motortrend always says the performance is always worse and so is gas mileage for auto vs. 5 spd. With a car like this (or any sport compact) you'll want to row through the gears yourself. Trust me.

Woah what happend to the rest of my post? I was wondering what kind of m.p.gs/performance should I expect? I am in the market for a daily driver would the srt-4 be a good choice? also is this considered a sports car? I would hate the extra inshurance$$$ I would have to pay.
thanks
thanks
Room: I'm 5'10" 325lbs.....get the neon highline seats, you'll thank me later.
Mileage: I read posts all the time about people getting 22-23 MPG, I drive it like I stole it and get about 16-17MPG
Daily driver: it is a great daily driver, as long as ther is no snow.
Insurance: Mine isn't too bad, I think it's 1200/year, but I'm 32, married, homeowner, muti-car discount, blah blah blah
Hope this helps.
Danny

The SRT-4 is not a sports car, it's a sports compact car, but the insurance companies know how well it performs and how fast it is, so it does have sports car priced insurance.[:@] Fuel mileage can vary based on driving style. I got my SRT-4 for my daily driver, but then again my other car is my Roadrunner which runs on 110 octane race gas.
Insurance kicked me in the a@@ here in cali. I was paying 162$ a month for a 99 Grand Am and a 94 Geo Prizm. Dropping off the prizm and adding the srt my current insurance company wanted 240$ a month. They rate the car as a 22H symbol and your prob going what the hell is that its a system insurance companys use to place cars in certain prices brackets. Lets put it like this the higher the number the more $$ you pay a 2003 BMW CI Coupe is a 19H and 2004 fully loaded chevy corvette is a 21H. I did find a new insurance company that gave me a rate of 161$ which is 1 buck cheaper then i had before but i had to do some shopping.
Hope this helps.

My insurance company told me i'd pay about $40 a year more for the srt-4 over my '96 civic si. I must go in and get that on paper and i'll be laughing[sm=icon_rofl.gif]
71RoadRunner I know what you mean,my last daily driver was a 69 charger with a 408 small block stroker no a/c and it got 11 m.p.g,but hey it ran 11's and took me wherever i needed to go! It looks like I am not going to get to test drive a srt-4 tomorrow cause I am going to a Billy Idol concert
I guess it will have to wait untill next week. Also so far no one has opted to give me the performance info on theese cars, would anyone like to school me on that? Like I said this Will be my first 4 cyl FWD car so I have no Idea what theese are capable of and I dont really know what to do If the stock performance isnt enough for me,With my older mopars you mill on the heads, bump up the cam,etc.... So how do I play with a 4 cyl FWD car?
thanks everyone
