Need some opinions...
There are variety of performance figures out there for the SRT-4, the majority show a 1/4 mile anywhere from 13.8 to 14.1 at 100 mph+ and 0-60 times from 5.3 to 5.6 seconds. That's bone stock. With a few mods, you can really bring those numbers down.
There's a guy who sometimes posts here who claims to have a 9 second SRT-4, but he's never shown any pix of his car....he usually gets chased off of here for his crazy stories!
BTW, I may have messed up your previous post by hitting the edit button instead of the quote button....my bad, please forgive!! I wanted to make a point of showing how hard it was to NOT get a lead foot while driving the SRT-4......but you'll find that out for yourself!!! Let us know how it goes.....!!!

Dont worry about it man,it was just weird that I had a post and then it was gone
its cool though.Thats some good performance! I had no idea,i guess the big gap between the 1/4 mile times would have to do with shift reaction.I have very good and consistant reaction! Not that I really need it but what would it take to get this car into 12's? I think I am really going to love this car!
thanks for the numbers

The last times I have seen in a magazine were as follows:
0-60 MPH: 5.3 sec.
0-100 MPH: 13.4 sec.
1/4 mile: 13.9 sec. @ 103 MPH
60-0 MPH: 112 ft.
300 ft. Skidpad: .86 g
I have personally seen a stock SRT-4 run a 13.7 in the 1/4 mile and one with only Stage 1 run a 13.0 in the 1/4 mile. I have heard from people with SRT-4's that say that they have got theirs up to 155-160+ MPH top speed, but then again the speedo only reads up to 160 MPH so it's all guesstimates after that. There has been a video posted on here before showing an SRT-4 pegging it's 160 MPH speedo. It's amazing how the SRT-4 can beat most of the muscle cars made and it has less than half the engine and twice the doors.
I love my Roadrunner and I will never part with it and I may become the same way about my SRT-4, it will rival my Roadrunner once I'm done with the little bolt-ons on it. If your looking for killer daily driver performance, then you definately want an SRT-4. If you check, the new GTO has the exact same performance numbers as the SRT-4, but the SRT-4 looks better, has a better warranty and has far more performance parts available for it.

Here are the details of the Stage 1 Mopar upgrade kit:
The Dodge SRT-4 and Chrysler PT Turbo are already hot numbers, but Mopar knows that more is better, so the Stage 1, 2 and 3 Turbo Upgrade Kits are on the move to give them just that! Proof that Mopar Performance engineers want the same thing you do — more power ... NOW!
STAGE 1 TURBO UPGRADE KITS — SRT-4
The Stage 1 Turbo Kit for the SRT-4 boosts power to 240 hp and 260 ft-lbs. of torque.
Components:
Stage 1 PCM
(4) 577 cc/min fuel injectors(2003 kit only)
Calibration Features:
Increased WOT and part throttle boost
Improved turbo response
Boost hold feature during WOT shifts
Enhanced 1st gear boost schedule for a high-performance launch
More aggressive exhaust note during deceleration
Optimized calibration for the Mopar Performance Blow-Off Valve Conversion Kit (P4510548)
*P5007862 2003 SRT-4 Stage 1 Turbo Upgrade Kit
*P4510592 2004 SRT-4 Stage 1 Turbo Upgrade Kit
The 3" exhausts are single exhausts that split at the rear just like the factory exhaust does and has the dual outlet/tailpipes. There are several 3" exhausts out there for the SRT-4, but the 2.5" Mopar/Borla exhaust has the same power gains as the 3" exhausts up until the 325-350 horsepower range. After that the 3" exhausts are better than the Mopar/Borla. It all depends on how far you want to take your SRT-4's power and how loud you want it.

71RoadRunner-
Thanks for the part numbers. Really a 13 sec. daily driver sounds nice! Would putting in a stage one, header, and exhaust void the warrenty? Also does the stage 1 affect m.p.g's? If so could I gain them back with the header/exhaust set up?

The Mopar performance parts aren't warranted and, if you read your warranty, you'll see that any mods you make MAY void your waranty IF they caused the warranted part to fail. The dealer has to prove the mods you made caused the problem. It's best not to go really extreme, especially if you bought an extended warranty. My dealer recently did some warranty work and said nothing about my mods listed below. The "critical" ones aren't really visible and except for the somewhat lounder exhaust, not noticeable until you drive the car. It really boils down to your dealer's attitude. Some are much better than others. I spent 2 weeks researching dealer feedback and BBB complaints before I settled on mine. So far, they've been pretty good....no major complaints.
BTW, no need to worry about DCX "tracking" your mods because they ask for your VIN and mileage on Stage 1....they do that so they can flash the PCM with the correct data for your specific car. Besides, the Stage 1 will normally flash a "P0633" code and the DCX mechanics won't have to look too far to find the reason....[sm=smiley36.gif]

Cool,If I do upgrade the car it would be with a stage 1,exhaust,and the k&n CAI.So the only thing really visible would be the CAI. So what king of performance did you get with all of your upgrades?
