Aem is definitely good stuff. I have their short ram and it is a quality piece. It looks and sounds great.

I must add, although fit is tight. I hear the others might have a little bit more room between the battery and the intake..

I hear real good things about the others, though - like iceman and ipp...you have to decide whether traditional aluminum is what you want, or plastic or silicone...there are benefits to all.

Really, you need to do a search - you will get all of the answers you need.[sm=sigh.gif]

Bell, I am currently considering the K&N setup. I have not heard of any problems with it (so far) and I have seen K&N items on other cars before. When I actually drop the green to get one, it'll more than likely be the K&N setup.

If you look at the other post of mine about Exhaust and CAI's, I am sure some pic's will surface to view the setups

I must say, I have an AEM on my SRT, and I am thrilled to death with it. There are not any problems with my hood or anything else for that matter, and it has been on there since about march... Like someone said, it is a little bit of a tight fit, but only according to looks... Putting it in was very, VERY simple and easy, there was not any "sqeezing" it in between the battery and the engine, but when you get through installing it, it does look like it gets close to both. But, for that matter, it has a rubber shield on the battery side so that metal cannot come in contact with the battery connections...

K&N is probably just as good, but I cannot say that it is any better. The AEM has a bigger tube (therefore the tight fit) than the K&N, so therefore it must allow more airflow???

I reall think, that both will give you the same proformance, it just depends on the look you want...

I did not mean to step on anyones toes either in this reply, but I must say, in AEM's defense, that I have that AEM, and it fits perfectly, there are not any problems with my hood or car...

While I stated that the AEM is a tight fit, It has never been the slightest problem as far as damaging the hood or the intake. And installation was a cinch.

One note - watch the rubber shield. I just noticed last week that it has a spot where the terminal is worn through - I'm glad I noticed before anything happened.

I am in communication with AEM about the issue and they are reviewing pictures. They were very responsive and emailed me immediately when I posted them.

It's a good company and like their products.

If I were in the market for a CAI, I would get the Mopar. Never heard of it? Right, because they don't make them for the SRT-4, although they make them for the regular Neon. However, they do make a high performance air filter for the SRT-4 along with K&N. I just find it strange that a company that will go out of it's way to market a $70 BOV that does nothing for performance would miss a chance to make a huge profit on a CAI. They're making big bucks off the Stage 1 and Stage 2 upgrades as well as the Mopar/Borla exhaust, why not carry that over to a CAI???? Are they "afraid" of K&N? I doubt it, they went toe-to-toe with them on the high perfromance air filter issue......something is not right here.....

Anybody got any dyno charts comparing CAI's other than those from the CAI companies? I'd prefer to save $600 and not buy Stage 2....
