Default Short shifter feedback

Just looking for some input on the different short shift kits available. (Good, or bad.) I'm looking into getting one soon.

i think most folks i read on here have the 58%, its like a happy medium. i have the Mopar, im very happy with it. i wouldnt mind trying the maddog, but not too sure my wife would like it even tighter/shorter. we are both happy with the Mopar. but i believethe maddog costs less.

Is the benefit of the maddog just throw distance or is it overall quality and feel? I sometimes have where mine does not accept 3rd. (like it doesn't go all the way in sometimes [GRIND!]) could this be corrected in the cables or will the new shifter help w/ that?

actually, 3rd gear has been known to have some issues with this car. if its under warranty i would take it in. the not wanting to go into 3rd and grinding may be your synchros or the gear itself.

Well the wonderful people at Dodge informed me that they no longer warranty the transmissions past 12K on these. which I feel is BS. I'll call down there and check it out. I'm @ 25K now. I had to take mine in for the trans once before. Is there a notice or recall/any info on a known issue on the trans that I could print and bring to 'em?

Bull****! when you purchased the car, it came with a 36k warranty (im assuming you bought it new???). they cant not honor that for no reason. now if they can prove something you did caused the tranny to fail, then they could deny the warranty repair. but otherwise they are looking for a lawsuit if they deny warranty service on something they garunteed when purchased. BS BS BS
