Default BOV Sound

I have just purchased a 2005 orange blast srt-4. I have heard that there is a way to get a louder sound out of the stock BOV by just modifying some vacuum lines or something. If anyone has any information on this let me know. Also let me know some websites to check out for performance parts. If you would like to give me some info on the car that would be appreciated too.

Thanks

Do you know whether it will void the warranty if you install the bov yourself.

Thanks

yourself or not it will void your warranty
unless you have a good lawyer to fight your dearlership
i am the same way with my car
some people say as well that they put sensors in the car to see if you had anything done to you car
but i don't know if it's true or not
one thing i'm doing for sure is to add some goodies to better the handling of the car
and that will not affect you warranty

I must disagree with the warrenty issue. That has been discussed before... The dealership can only void your warrenty if they can prove that the performace part is what caused the problem. And, let me add, most good performance parts will warrenty their parts to say that if they cause the problem, they will pay for repairs, some do't do that, but some do. Also, if the dealer says that an aftermarkett part, U.S. law says that you are entitled to a second opinion.

Someone on here must remember talking about this, and might can remember the name of the law, but my memory is not that good!!!

Dude, you're too young to be losing your memory!! That's for people like me!!!![sm=smiley36.gif]

Back to the "Topic"....I made some "Major" mods to my 2004 SRT-4 and the dealer dealer didn't miss a beat when I took it in for blowing the intake air sensor.....

The problem people are having is DCX using any reason to void your warrenty, So if your planning on adding MODS you have two choices. One make sure you know the dealer isnt going to try to mess with you Dusty has found a good one in his area so there out there. Or second which is what im planning on doing is removing any MODS i have before taking it in if something is to happen. Alot of people recommend if you have mods and have a problem with your car before you take it to dodge take it to a third party shop and have them inspect it. Get there reasons for the problem on paper. Its alot harder for DCX to fight it this way and makes alot of sense. Plus you have backing if the issue is hard pressed and goes to court. Im just speaking from what I have heard. But hope it helps.

do a search of the srt-4 threads and use keywords 71Roadrunner and Warranty.

and to put the issue to rest- did you or did you not pay extra for the orange blast color?
