#4 Plug Wire on 2005's
thats a relief[sm=icon_rock.gif] .. hahaha by the way where do i get those msd's because i already clocked the 20,000 miles, and i dont want any problems with the wireing, i'll check modernperformance any ways but if theres any cheaper place (which i doubt it) let me know. ohh and another thing i just checked your car at cardomain.com.... very nice[sm=icon_cheers.gif] .
summitracing has the wires for $39, a little cheaper than modern.
thanks for the compliment
i'm going to finally update my times this weekend, it's fall nationals at englishtown!

The hotter the area you live in, the sooner the #4 wire will go bad. MP's SRT-4 had their's melt fairly soon and mine started cooking badly at 2K. The climate in San Antonio and Houston is about the same.
The MSD's will not only last longer, but deliver a hotter spark as well.
You may want to dab a small amount of dielectric grease (about $1 at auto stores) to the inside of the boots with a Q-tip before putting them on if corrosion is a problem in your area.

ok.... finally, i took a picture (with my phone) of what i think are the wires you guys are talking about, i've been looking very closely to the wire on the top right, but it shows no damage, if those are not the wires (i'll feel stupid [&:]) let me know. SORRY FOR THE ****TY PICTURE but my scanner is messed up and i dont have a digital camera.

Yeah, you'd think that problem would have surfaced in pre-production testing, especially in Death Valley!!!
Ya know i took my car in for the #4 plug wire and told them about the tsb and when i got the car home and opened the hood to install the motor mount's they replaced it with the same f------ plug wire[sm=icon_flaming.gif][sm=icon_beat.gif][sm=icon_rtfm.gif] if i go back the service guy and mechanic are going to look like this[sm=smiley18.gif]. I'm beginning to wonder if i'm surrounded by idiot's where ever i go.
