Not likely. You would notice a loss in boost pressure, but don't forget that weather can also change how much boost you will have at any given time. If the boost is down and stays down regardless of the changes in the weather, then there might be a leak.

RE: Just ordered my BOV
Prior to my air intake sensor blowing off, I could hear a whistling sound from under the hood whenever I gave it a lot of gas. I figured it was the Stage 1, but looking back, it was probably the sensor coming loose and leaking air.
