Default Toyo tires

Does anyone know about the Proxes T1s from Toyo?
If you do, please let me know what you think and what size upgrade I should get.
I was thinking 235/45/17
Thanks for your input.

Last time I checked, Tire Rack had a website that rated most tires....I don't know anyone who has Toyo's on their SRT-4....

my sis has toyo in her mustang, they're some cool looking tires and pretty reliable, great in almost all weathers, snow, i cant really tell cause i live in dallas, and the snow that we get its just ice..... but it handles good in ice [sm=smiley36.gif], water and kick butt at the drag strip.... not sure what kind of toyo tires they are but they come standar on the roush 2nd stage. they are a bit expensive (for my budget) but worth it... here's a pic

i have toyo proxes 4 225/45R17. they're a very nice tire, even the guys at psi-fi were impressed when we did a burn out on wet pavement and the tires actually grabed the road pretty quick and pulled us forward!

the t1-s is a high performance summer tire. it does ok in rain, but is not for winter driving. it's a good tire, although a bit pricey. the proxes 4 are more of an all season tire which is why i went with them, and they're pretty cheap (paid $85 each for them). the t1-s is a good tire if you have a set of winter tires and rims, or if you live in florida or cali or somewhere that doesn't see adverse weather conditions.

as for size, the 235 is pushing it. chances are that it will rub the inside of the wheel well. i hope that you're not planning on putting that on a stock rim, as that's way to big. the stock rim shouldn't go above a 215. 225 is a very common size for people to run, fits nicely on a 7" rim, and doesn't have any clearance issues when turning.

on stock rims a 215/45R17 is the max that you should be running. a 225 is very large for a 6" rim, and is not really safe at all.

45's will give you approximately the same sidewall height ion a 225 as a 50 will on a 205. With 40's you'll lose a little traction in acceleration due to lack of sidewall flex. Also wtih 40's you'll have a little more torque , but a little less hp(the high end of each gear will be faster, though due to longer diameter) handling might be good, though, with the 40's. One thing I would consider(and I don't know the answer) is whether or not the effective radius is important to the differential.
