I'm new here and could use a little help!
You wont see a noticeable difference if you just buy the drop-in from a full aftermarket intake. Maybe a little more horsepower gained, cool sound of air rushing in, and overall look of the engine, but I would say if you want to go cheap go with the drop-in k&n.

Thanks for the help...and the warm reception you have given me here. It is much appreciated. Trans fluid will be changed, tomm. probably and my brakes are in good shape, car was driven very nicely, not hard, some old man 50+ owned the thing...The plugs were changed out around 20,000 miles and I'm at 23,000 right now. I do use Mobil-1 and that has always been done, at proper times.

I will use some highh-temp rtv on it, should I put it on both the BOV side and gasket side?
I will be sticking with just stock boost for now, however I am in need of where I can find a K&N drop in
filter for the airbow? Know where I can find a good deal on one?
With the K&N filter, will I get a better MPG or HP gain? If so how much?
Thanks again for all your help!!!

You might want to invest in some MSD wires for about $45 bucks as well. They perform better and last a lot longer than the stock wires. Stock plugs are trash after about 8-10K miles......
PS- Beware of the airbox screws. They have a habit of falling down into parts of the wheel wells that you will never see in your lifetime....

Ya definitly the MSD 8.5mm wires and different spark plugs! My stock plugs probably would still be going(have 23K miles on them) but I decided to take them out after all the problems people had with them on this forum! I put NGK Iridium plugs in. You will notice a difference!
I have a set of 4 Iridium 9 plugs to throw in it today
Are they any good, gap is 30 on them...right? Or is another gap better?
Also changed the trans fluid...much better shifting, there was a difference, def. notable.
Thanks again on all the help.

heat range 9? you dont need those, i have mine gapped at .045. I would say that .045 to .050 would be good for a gap. Heat of 5 or 6 is all you need.
EDIT: I dont know my roman numerals, IX equal 9? if so ignore what I said

I got the plugs in ok..no problems, stock ones were a bit nasty, ceramic insulators were all burned and there was noticeable wear on them, some carbon fouling(gray stuff on them) the electode that is. I also have some of the no resistance wires(forget the name at the moment)Gratelli???coming for the SRT-4 along with some Mopar tails!
Thanks for the help, to everyone, car is running soooo much better now!

I'm all smiles now when I stamp down on the gas pedal!!!
