Default Toys finally installed

Man, it took a few hours to intalled the S2/w. toys. I havent installed the sprayer yet cause i havent found a seperate tank for the distilles water. Though, a friend told me that it's not really necessary cause of the size of ya FMIC. That i couldnt heat soak it even if i tried.
I had a good time playing with the dial-a-boost selection. The wheel hop on the "0" stage, from 1st to 2nd, wasnt occuring. And still, even on the same setting, i beat my friends "Probe" (it was a close race: he pushes 8psi of boost on his supercharger).
I havent yet have the opportunity to run 100 oct cause i still have a full tank of gas. Once fairly empty, best believe im goin to. Then im going back to the dyno shop and get another HP test to see the gains.
Question: What ill happen if i turned on the 100 oct swttch while running 93? Does the ECU recognize that its not 100 oct and recalibrate itself to run a lower Oct setting or will it cause internal problems?

Peace

100 Octnane switch = HOM (High octane mode)

Anyway, it's driven by knock. Like a parent giving a kid an allowance to check responsibility, the PCM will give you power. But if it detects knock, parties over So what happens is that you set it, light glows, wooohooooo. Then you hammer the throttle, the engine knocks (so little you won't detect it) and the power goes away.

Which, oddly enough, brings us to your sprayer issue A person who's opinion I HIGHLY respect has installed his S2 sprayer system as a dual stage water injection system. He is waiting on his S3 turbo, since his K&N killed his stocker, so if you have a little patience, we might have a very good use for that sprayer, like running HOM alll the time for the cost of distilled water

Hey, glhs, that a very good idea!! if you and ya friend dont mind i like a blueprint of that installation for the H2O injection.
Now i have a concern after installation:
I notice there is a little clicking sound in the fuse box area when i launch out of 1st gear.[&:] i check the wiring and fuses and everything is ok.[>:] whats with the noise.
2nd- I transfered the selector to "3" and i only recieved 14 lbs of boost max(steady). Now i know that cause of the P.A.(pressure altimeter) it affects how much ECU/PCM transfer the Air/fuel Mixture, which i understand according to Barney, but a lost of 4 psi also raises a concern[:-]. Or is there nothing to worry about

Thnx

Glad to hear about the Stage 2 w/toys being installed.[sm=smiley20.gif] I may have to either wait until next year for mine or just get Stage 1 for now and then get 2 w/toys later next year.[&o]

I'm not sure. Is setting 3 the full boost ***** to the wall setting or is 0, I get them confused since I don't have it? If it's the maximum performance setting, then something doesn't sound right. You might want to go back over everything and make double sure it's all perfect, make sure the new wastegate actuator is set properly.

Thats da funny thing,RR. before the toys was installed i had a full 18 lbs of boost. then it got a little chillier and i lost 2 lbs of boost(which barney explained in a previous forum.) Now its anywhere between 4-6 psi.... [:@].

I hope i dont regret installing it[&:]
