Problem after UEGO install-Help Please!
Put in my UEGO a few hours ago, andeverything seemed fine-reading 14.8 at idle and no issues, until on the way home.If I go past 1/2 throttle the car bucks and the gauge shows real lean, even --- and threw a code.Since I have stage 1, I put the O2 sensor in place of the stock sensor at the catalytic, and ziptied the stock sensor to the side still connected. Is this correct, or do I need the stock sensor back in the catalytic and put in another bung for the UEGO sensor? I thought Stage1 didn'tuse the cat sensor?Or am I just missing something simple? [&o]
Umm im not sure what the problem is. Sounds like you did everything right, Its the wayI did mine. What code did you through it might not even be related to the install!
I got two codes: P0108 Map sensor high
P0633 Skim Key not programmed toPCM
WTF?? I do have a DTEC Fuel Controller installed also, for almost three weeks now-but I haven't made any changes to the fuel b/c I was waiting until I had the UEGO. Don't know if that's a cause for the MAP code or not, but the Skim Key I have no clue what that's all about.

OK I reset the ECU and took it foro a test run---after couple of minutes the same thing happened-same code thrown. Also I turned on my dtec/gameboy and it won't scroll through gauges, stuck in datalog mode, and just isn't working right in general. Can it be causing my problem? Like I said I haven't touched it after I installed it about 3-4 weeks ago, and I drive the car everyday without any problems at all. Is there a way to reset the dtec or maybe bypass it b/c it's in line with the map sensor now correct?
if the dtec froze that could happen. you can reset the dtec by hooking it up to a laptop and reloading the software. unfortunetly you'll lose your tune if you didn't either write it down or previously save it to your laptop.
Alright found the problem, it was the DTEC. For whatever reason it was giving me the bad MAP signal; I don't think it likeshaving the battery disconnected when I work on the car.I reset the unit - runs fine now[8D]. Fortunately I haven't tuned anything yet so no real harm done. Which leads to my next question...I got the DTEC and UEGO based on info from the helpful folks here, and with it have been ableto install every mod onmy car myself- having no prior knowledge on turbo cars, and norealissues until now. Nowthat I have the proper tuning 'tools' on the car, I'm unclear on how to properly utilize them. Are there guidelines for setting the DTEC fuel maps specific to my mods? What should my AFR's be--I'm fairly sure at idle should be around 14.6 andWOTno higher than11.8. Is 14.6 o.k. when cruising any gear--less than 0 psi? O.K. I've gone on long enough for one post but thanks for the help everyone
