Default Oil Catch Can?

Where can I find a picture of one hooked up correctly?

Is it hard to do?

What benefit will I see from it? Performance change?

Where can I find a good one?

Thanks for the help, I know it probably not a hard question, but I'm getting 3 and 4 answers from people...all different...I'm hopping someone here knows the correct answers.

Thanks in advance. ( I have read the how to up top, but still have questions)

it just runs inline with the pcv valve. google it and i'm sure you can find a picture. it's very easy to do, installs in about 5 mintues. there are no performance gains from this, it's a maintenence item.

It's much cheaper to go with the $20 OCC version unless you want/need the "Bling" of the much more expensive commercial models. However, they do require less frequent emptying......

Mine doesn't leak, but since we are talking about it, let me go empty mine and make sure the connections are tight!!!!

But, I mean, what is the deal with it, is the oil going anywhere...I have no leaks on the ground...Is it going to tear the engine up or what?

I'm confused why it is needed, and why I should have one?

IDK, I guess I just need the full info on these things...I dont mean to sound like a newb!

it can get in ur throttle body and then into ur engine and onto ur spark plugs.and i think it can get in ur intercooler. idk but i have one of those $20 occ and everytime i take a rag and wipe underneath my throttle body there is quite a bit of oil on the outside of it, i guess it leaks right through where the throttle body connects to the manifold. i took off the throttle body because i thought everything would be filled with oil but there was just a little bit in there, i guess it all just gets pushed out lol.

the oil gets pushed into the ic pipes. it does not collect in the engine. if there's oil on your plugs then there's another problem.

tyler - if you're still seeing oil with the $20 cc then it's time to upgrade to a better one. you should see little to no oil in your system. i would also suggest a check valve.

agp oil cc @ pcv connected near top motor mount, check valve installed, alta cc mounted near battery for breather hose sludge. and the intercooler, throttle body, ic pipes and short ram are clean as new. about the alta cc, i ordered a perrin but they sent an alta can. never heard of alta, but it looks exactly like the perrin.
