2.4L swap into an s10.. does anyone think this will be too much work??

 

one question, why? to much time, work and money, wouldn't be worth it.

 

put in a 4G63 from an older eclipse gsx and it would be awd

 

that was the first idea was make it all wheel drive, but i have a 2.4L motor with a bad crank gear and i want to put it into somethin

x2. The 1st gen neon is really light and if you get one with the double wishbone suspension, it would rock for autocross.

My rule of thumb is to not mix parts from different companies. Sincethevehicle isa GM, puta 350 or the cyclone engine in it and save the 2.4L Turbo for a mopar...heck see if it will fit in an old 80's daytona. It is just a pain (back and wallet)to put a Mopar motor in a Ford or GM vehicle.

 

what year neon had the double wishbone suspension??

 

Sorry, I was thinking of the old avenger. The first gen ACR package with adjustable shocks is what I should have said.

 

would it be possible to put it in an avenger?? if so what year?? or possibly older dodge pick up ( mini truck)

 

Are you on a mission to put that motor in a different car ? ....... It will fit in any vehicle that has room for the motor... as far as mounting it and using it safetly it takes lots of work and money......the most direct fit is going to be an older neon.
