More R32 crap....at first i liked there styling till i started running into a few wagon owners who were less the polite on the streets...now i hold no remorse what so ever for stomping a wagon, the R32 is a nice packaged car...but the price with the entire volkswagon line is beyond sanity and levels out at insanity...come on there 30+K, plus up to another 5+K for there stage levels and it does not end there....They come standard equipment with a flower vase....now hold on...a flower vase? Am i missing something or do volkswagon actually think there is any need for a flower vase in any car? Do they think americans want a flower vase on there dash board? Back on subject i have raced a really fast R32...lost one and won the next....the SRT-4 is far the R32's superior....but some peole can not be told that they have to be showed.
Bah.. I can't help it. I'm compelled to reply.

So you don't like the car? Big deal. It's not for everybody. We all know that. Accept it and move on.

Also, I think you've been looking at the wrong car because the R32 doesn't come with a flower vase. I just thought I'd point that out. It may not be obvious, so you have to look closely.

You think the SRT-4 is superior to the R32? Fine by me. IMHO, it's superior in the sense that it's easier to mod thanks to the factory turbo. Thus, it can be made to go faster for less money and less work. If you're basing superiority on a single criterion, then your judgment is skewed. Just my opinion, though. Both cars are good, but to say one is outright superior in every way tells me that you haven't really driven one or experienced one first hand -- and no, I'm not talking about street racing against one. You have to actually get in, sit down, start the engine, and drive it. If you have done so already and still don't like it for what it is, then that's okay, too. OTOH, if you haven't drive one, then stop talking smack and get informed. For me, the R32 is a better choice because it's what I wanted: an AWD hatchback. Find me another car that fits that criteria.

Don't think of this as necessarily sticking up for the R32, but more along the lines of bringing you down to reality. I know your car is probably faster than mine. You know what? It doesn't bother me. Keep rubbing it in. It won't phase me. I'm starting to sound like a broken record. I wonder if the people who are giving me all this crap actually read (and understand) my posts? I wonder...

Relax and have a beer, man.

I also saw one and when he realized it was an srt he rolled down the window and said " no thanks man I've heard about those and I KNOW what's under that hood" I didn't say it because the guy was cool about it but, in the back of my head I was thinking (like I was talking to a dog or something) That's a good boy......We know better than that don't we!

Jesus... was that really necessary? Please, read on.
BTW, I hope that after you read my replies, everything can be cool. I separated everything for clarity. I'm also kinda shocked at the fact that this is the longest reply I have received in my entire life... I know you had to explain your point of view, though. Wow.
Yes, I felt that it was necessary since you continually brought up the subject. We have had many on here that are simply here to cause trouble and we want to be quick about stopping it before it has a chance to grow and become a larger problem. This many have been a bit lengthy, but it was done to try and fully explain where I am coming from on these matters. It is also not my longest by far. I've been in long and drawn out discussions where there was friction and differences of opinion as well as other things.

Alright, it may not necessarily be knocking someone for their spending habits, but the whole argument of "for the price of ABC car you could have bought XYZ car for less and have it be faster." IMHO, that rebuttal is annoying -- not because you wrote it, but because I see it used over and over again on every car forum I visit. I'm not trying to belittle anyone here. It's just an observation. If you took offense, then so be it. It wasn't meant to offend.
I understand your being tired of hearing the whole performance vs. dollar issue, but it is also very annoying hearing about how person "A" bought a more expensive car and put more money into modifying it just to beat a lower priced car. It is rediculous for someone to bring up and brag about such a thing, "I beat that cheap peice of crap with my over priced high dollar toy", it's just as annoying if not more so than the performance vs. dollar issue. This is what mariomllr was doing and that is why I came back with the performance vs. dollar point, simply as the flip side of the coin that he tossed. Most of us are proud to have a car that out performs most cars that are twice as expensive that everyone drools over, like the 350Z. I am not offended by your point on this issue, in fact I completely understand it.

Why bother? The only purpose that serves is to get other people worked up. That is not my goal.
That is my point exactly and that is exactly what mariomllr was doing on here.

Nope. I won't. I'll comment on how that particular argument is bunk, but not much else.
And how would you do this without bringing up the price difference issue?

1) I don't "know" mariomllr. I just recognize his name because he posted some BS on Vortex about having a Stage 2 VF-SC that puts down some unrealistic power figures.
2) I joined on the same day as he? Big deal. I didn't follow him here. I do not take things out of context, and if I did, it was unintentional.
3) Your "final observation" is incorrect. Please do explain to me how I'm doing the same thing he is, but in a different way. You really had to dig for that one. The reason I signed up here is not even remotely close to the reason mariomllr is here.
1) Here is your previous post on this subject,"It's his... and if you notice, it's a Stage 2 VF-SC, and he's tweaking it. It's not the turbo system that he indicated in this topic. Strange, I know... but I have no idea what his agenda is." Here you seem to be backing him up on his claims of actually having such an R32, as if you knew him fairly well, but now you claim what he said is BS. So which is it?
2) Your joining on the same day as him, as well as seeming to know him, is what led to a possible connection and possible joint effort. As far as taking things out of context, you mentioned several time that I was calling him names and refered to the "stupid" comment. This was far from name calling, it was simply and obviously used to describe ones lack of intelligence as he claimed to do something that is not even possible yet. Besides, the stupid term was used in a question asking how stupid he was, which is not calling him stupid. You never even once mentioned the only part that could have been viewed as name calling which was the "ricer" term being used. However, I have explained my use of this term in my last post.
3) I thought that I was crystal clear in my last post as to how I felt that you may have been on here to do the same general thing as mariomllr, if you noticed I never said that you were here to do the same, I said that it seems as though you are here to do the same thing he is. I didn't have to reach very far, as I mentioned in my last post, you both signed up on the same day, you acknowledged having known him previously and you seemed to be very quick to back him up. This all adds up to a very possible connection and collaberation to cause trouble. Your reasons for being here may well be far from mariomllr's reasons, but your first few posts seemed to be quite similar in nature. I hope that you are truely here for far different and better reasons than mariomllr's.

I know what type of forum this is and ragging on peoples' cars simply isn't on my agenda. If I offended you, then take a step back and relax. I had no intention of pissing off anyone here.
Once again this is something you have taken out of context. What I said, which you have quoted, was simply a statement that was part of a larger body and it was not directed at you. Here is the whole statement,"Remember that this is Dodge Forum and that ragging on that which most everyone here has is going to start trouble. There have been people that come here and simply started off by posting about beating a Dodge with another brand, which is not the best way to start off, but if done properly isn't a problem." How did you find that the first sentence of this larger statement was directed solely at you?

You're making a mountain out of a molehill with my posts. I respect people on any forum. I have not caused any problems as far as I can tell, so nothing will continue. That's moot. Again... if I started trouble, please show me. That was not my goal. I have shown nothing but courtesy here. Heck, I even mentioned that this "mariomllr" guy doesn't even have a turbo system like he indicated here. He has a Stage 2 VF-SC. That's beside the point, though. I have no association with this guy.
I find this to be quite the opposite and that you are the one making the mountains and not I. Your first post quoted another forum members comments that were directed at mariomllr and not you, yet you felt the need to respond. This was also not a friendly way to start off as you start calling the price vs. performance issue to be BS, which was what was being used by the forum member as part of his response. In your second post you bring up that you know mariomllr and back him up as to some of his claims, regardless of which type of forced induction it is. Affiliating with someone who's obviously causing problems and somewhat backing him up is not very good either. Your third post wasn't too bad. Your fourth post was another attack on ones use of a valid performance vs. price point, mariomllr started this whole thing by bragging about a much higher priced car that is modified beating a far less expensive car which brings this whole matter to the table in the first place. And once again your claims that I have personally attacked ones spending habits. You also make note and knock me for having and expressing an opinion simply because I am a moderator. Your fifth post wasn't bad either except that you make a false claim that I am name calling. Then once again you claim that I am attacking peoples personal spending habits which I have not. And again you make an issue of me being a moderator, thus personally attacking me again for having an opinion and expressing it as you again wrongfully assume that I am name calling and attacking ones spending habits. In your sixth post you again are attacking me for being a moderator and for the same exact reasons as the last two times. BTW: Your use of the term "chump" in this quote of your sentence,"Like you guys... if I had the knowledge, I'd tell it like it is and call the chump out." could very easily be seen as name calling as well, but since I know and understand the context in which it is being used I understand that it isn't necessarily being used to call names. Again in your seventh post your still not over with attacking me for being a moderator. This is your fourth time with attacking me for it and over the same wrong assumptions. Your eighth post is still with misunderstandings of what I thought I had made clear. Your last post was the best so far and it was a good one. Calling out the fact that mariomllr isn't turbocharged, but instead that he is supercharged is rather moot since it is still a form of forced induction.

I hope that this can finally be the last of this and that I have fully and completely explained it to your understanding. And I am glad to hear that you do not have anything to do with mariomllr.

It's a done deal. I was getting tired of trying to get people to understand me. I think I'll move on to other posts... opinionated topics such as this only lead to misunderstanding and fighting. I don't dig any of that.

Here goes Andy again!!!!!!!!! Now I have to admit, I have never seen an R32 in person, but a flower vase in a car???????????????? And another question Andy, your 9sec 1/4 mile SRT-4 with 600hp can't beat a R32 everytime?????????? Maybe you should put some more stickers on it, they are worth 10-15hp per sticker.
