AVGAS........
I had pumped a full tank of avgas in my srt and now my check engine light is on. My homeboy told me that my O2 sensor may have burnt out. Can anybody tell me where i can get a new one other than the dealership?
No lecture from me on why not to put AVGAS in a SRT-4, or any car for that matter!
You MIGHT get lucky and find a wrecked SRT-4 at a junkyard. They are NOT easy to take out, though.
Considering the low production numbers of the SRT-4, a dealership may be your only recourse.

First get a full tank of normal pump premium, then you might want to try disconnecting the battery for 5-10 minutes and then reconnect it and see if the light is still on. Your O2 sensor should not be burned out, but rather coated. Never ever run leaded gas like that in your SRT-4 or any other car with an O2 sensor and/or a catalytic converter. Leaded gas will coat the O2 sensor with a light oily film causing it to not be able to read the air/fuel ratio and it will plug up a catalytic converter causing all kinds of problems including stopping the car from running at all. Make sure any and all gas you use in your SRT-4 are unleaded ONLY. Read your owners manual too, you also cannot use many of the octane boosters and additives for gas either. If you want good gas, then buy some 100 octane unleaded CAM2.
Roadrunner is 100% CORRECT!!............i work at an airfield & we run avgas in ALL our ground equipment,....BUT .....it's all old 60's & 70's equipment & even those engines don't like the avgas, it rob's pwr. & cake's everything w/ lead deposit's,aka: valve's etc:, soo w/that in mind , i'd suggest you DON'T run that stuff in your car again, . look inside your exh. tip's & you'll see alot of that grey residue(lead) from just one tankfull of avgas, because it has 10 Times the amount of lead(2.94grams. per decilitre) that used to be found in "leaded" gasoline's of yesteryear!, pull your O2 sensor & carefully clean it off, im sure you'll find it coated w/ lead!________5TOEZ________
actually you can run leaded gas in our cars as long as there's no cat. some people use leaded race gas because it's cheaper. the o2 sensor will not get burned out after just one use, it will take a little bit for it to happen. if you're running a cat, NEVER put in leaded gas, but race pipe use is ok, as long as it's only for the track since you never run a full tank at the track and it's only a temporary thing.
ah..ok. i didn't know that it was avaiation fuel, i'm not too familiar with planes [:@]
btw - why the hell would you put aviation fuel in your car? i'm just wondering what your reasoning behind that one was....
