I guess mine also came activated because after reading this I went outside and the red light was flashing in the dash! I also went to the dealership and picked up my free plugwires and to beat it all they filled my car up with gas 4 free for the trouble of having to come pick them up!!!!

Have to agree with PSI chick here. The stock SRT-4 alram is really only a noise maker, you can break every window out in the car with the factory alarm armed and it will not go off...you can also open the trunk and hood and flip the car over and it will not go off...just the looks of the car and the blinking red light in the dash as a more theft deterent for thieves to move to the next car...the chip in the key is the best defense...they can steal your hood trunk lid wheels and tires..even the motor...but they can't drive it off...point....go buy a good aftermarket unit with shock/motion senors and the pager alarms are the boss, the system i have actually calls my cell phone when it goes off..and it takes more than a cat jumping on the hood to set it off...you will sleep better at night, and enjoy your meal while out on the town....i do.

 

ON THE CONTRARY< The factory alarm is the way to go. It disables the pcm. Trust me, I work at a dealer and you cannot steal an SRT with VTSS and SKIM activated. They have to tow it.


Plus, if you loose your keys, your screwed. The 03's and early 04's do not have a switch on the dr door key cylinder. I know, I learned the hard way. There is a way to get in, but it takes a half an hour and a DRB-3 scan tool. I figuired this out by learning the hard way.

Screw those aftermarket alarms.

I'd like to see some type of Mustard Gas, or pepper spray alarm. Tha would be cool.

I had a Stealth twin turbo in the shop, and when you got near it, a synthetic voice would ask you to "step aside".

Pretty goofy.

 

HA HA I've seen those alarms. I walked by a Mercedes SLK CV and it said "Step Away from the Vehicle" repeatedly. Gotta admit it scared the **** out of me, but imagine if you could change the voice?

"BACK OFF MOTHA****A!!!!" Now if I walked by and a car said that to me....I'd DIE laughing.

Hmmm Pepper Spray alarm.....that would be interesting.
