I have my factory alarm activated- i went to the dealer armed with the procedure but they actually knew what i was talking about and did it w/out hassle. it's pretty cool b/c you don't get all the nuisance alarms from vibrations, loud noises, etc. i like it anyway, and like someone else said, the flashing red light is a deterrent.
