Default Spring Help

I am looking at purchacing new springs for my car. I think that the car sits a little too high in the rear, and I want to take the edge off. I don't weant anything extreme. I was thinking about the Eibachs, but after doing some reading I have found a few people who are not happy with them. Can you guys point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Tein S Techs are good. I like mine a lot. A little rough when you hit bumps but very nice. Mopar makes Stage 1 springs as well. I guess these ride very nice as well.

Here is a pic of my car. I got goldline camber bolts. They were $20 for front, $20 for rear. I also got the ES front bushings and rear endlinks.

Mopar has Stage one and a couple others. Heres a picture of Stage One installed on a Silver SRT: (before on top and after on the bottom)

the few who have them claim to have less torque steer, and the car stays firmly planted to the ground. This guy also added 26mm(F)/19mm(R) sway bars + endlinks from ModernPerformance to complete the setup. People love them, they're stiff but not TOO TOO stiff so your bouncing and banging around the cockpit.

Mopar Stage 2:

Another person who's extremely happy with the ride and handling

Another Stage 2:

Variants:

The Mopars are linear to one another, the variants are literally shorter than the mopar ones, but still manage to drop almost to the same height as the S2.

Hotchkis Stage 1:

Some members have reported serious rubbing/adjusment/fittament issues with these. Not a fan. They're kind of wider than the normal ones are therefore fittment isnt well. Often slow speeds it creaks and rattles, and every bump feels like the pothole from hell.

Tein S-Techs are pretty good too from what I've heard, but I don't know anyone personally with them on.

Eibach...anyone who's had them....hasn't liked them STAY FAR AWAY!

Eibach with 18s on the left Mopar S1 with stock 17s on the right

Dropzone - I've heard good and bad. Mostly bad. They're are shorter springs with a threaded sleeve that goes on a stock-like strut. Thats how you get your adjustability without it being a full on coilover. And because you can only lower them 4" you run the risk of an extremely stiff ride.... No fun. For $120 bucks...save your cash.

Goldline - These seem to be SRT owner's favorites. I'd check into these first run around a grand or so. The drop is nice and the ride is very very smooth. Perfect springs with the tokicos....easy ride or a race-inspired ride.

A variable rate spring that will never sag giving them excellent workability.

to be continued..... UN MOMENTO POR FAVORE!

IP2 Coilovers are attached

IPP will get you the lowest, and does give a very comfortable ride, tons of members swear by them. So I'd say IPP, Goldline, MoparS1,S2,S3.....and forget the rest.

REMEMBER when it comes to suspension you GET what you PAY FOR. If you pay 59.99 for ****box springs on ebay....I guarantee youll find yourself in a situation that you wouldn't want to be in.

And I do agree that these cars sit too high.

Eibach's on the Silver versus Goldlines on the Black:

Sorry the post was long but hopefully it helped ya out a bit. And I'm sorry I had to link these last few....they wouldnt show up for me on the screen....dammit! grr.

Some say you don't need camber adjustment until after 2". But I've sworn by 4degrees for every inch dropped. If you're only goind 1.5" you may be safe but don't count on your struts lasting too long, especially stock. Camber kits are cheap....get some. Cause yu don't want negative camber your not a minitrucker. [:'(]

I would recommend getting an alignment with however low you go. I dropped my SI 1" because of the rim size and I would need tires about every year and a half. It would make the car pull very bad and the tires were very choppy. You can always take it in and get a free alignment check. When I had my SRT-4 checked out, it was way off just for a 1.8" drop.
