Default stock motor?

Hey guys what can the stock motor handle...I know the motor is good for 400-500hp and the stock turbo good for 20psi and no more.....but is there a boost limiter on the stock computer and if so at what psi does it cut out?? is the psi from the turbo limited by the fuel system...like must upgrade the injectors before running 20 psi?? when would you want to upgrade to je pistons or eagle rods.....??

thats a few questions i got...thanks for any help or replies...

The stock motor can hold 400-450hp without upgrading to forged parts......the stock ecu will throw an overboost code and pull timing over 16psi...... yes you need more fuel before you turn up the boost, you need a wideband to keep track of your afr's and keep them at 11.5-11.7.

If it's a 2004, it will have the larger injectors from the factory.....

turn your boost down. now. running that high a/f's at wot is not safe without being tuned for it with race gas.

well in that case at WOT the car went to 10.3 10.4.....which as i understand is too lean...so im going to adjust my wastegate accordingly and tune the boost down some.....I had to pull part numbers on the car because i dont know what all has been upgraded and what hasnt...(since i just bought it and somebody threw alot of mods on it)....it has the stock 04 577cc injectors and im pretty sure the stock pcm....

what should the afr's be just driving around town not boosting???

10's means you are running rich bro. You want to be around 11.5.
