Is this car sopost to shake??
According to their website, Modern Performance supported the first neon into the 10's in "street trim"....
I don't see why not. There are neons doing it so why can't an SRT4 do it. But it will probably take time for more parts to come out before someone can do it.
gump - that neon is a first gen. i know one of the guys that works on it, it's a sick car. they're hoping to brake 9's with it, it's run a 10.007 before, so i'm sure that they'll do it soon enough! what makes that car so great is that if you look at it, it looks like it's just a regular red first gen. it's got really very few decals on it, just the cage gives it away. it's fully street legal too.
the fastest srt that i know of to date ran a 11.2, so 10's aren't that far away really. it is possible, but the problem with these cars is the fuel systems. the stock systems are just not capable of supporting the power that the engine can, even if a return line is put it. the psi-fi guys came up with a solution to the problem, although i'm not sure if i can tell what it is as they are going to be incorperating it into their turbo systems as an upgrade option, probably for the GTS61, and it is currently on both of their srt's for testing.
they have 2 cars, one is a fully built race car, the other a street car. the race car should be done soon, they've been working on it for a long time. the street car run's 11's all the time, he just has been having massive transmission problems that's kept him from getting a good time on it. fyi - the street car is tiny's (mike). he had the 57 trim on it, and now upgraded to the 61. he was the first srt to ever run an 11, and that was with the smaller turbo. his car is his dailty driver, it goes to work, out at night, where ever.
here's a pic of the engine of the race car. this is about a month ago and is not complete, so it still looks a little messy. this car is fully built and should make 9's. hopefully they can finish it soon and get it to a track....

Damn that should be pretty cool if they can get it into the 9s.
So no one has tested this upgraded fuel system besides them PSIChick?? I'd be interested to know how that turned out (though i don't forsee that much power in my SRT in the near future its always good to know)

for now the only running car with it on it is tiny. it's been on his car for about 4 months now and has been performing great. but these guys are perfectionists, and they are not going to release a product for sale until they are completly sure that there are no problems and no obvious improvements that can be made. that's part of why i go with their products over other companies. i know that what i get from them has been street tested and redesigned numerous times to ensure that it's the best that it can be. and if there is a problem, they want to know about it and do everything they can to fix it.
this upgrade will be available soon, although for most peope it will be overkill. You really only need it if you're pushing 450 fwhp or up. once you get to that level the stock system is just too restrictive. you should be able to find it on their website in the next few months.

Damn thanks for the info, I'll definitely be going to PSi-FI for parts now that you gave that recommendation and have used their parts with great success. See not only didja tell me about their fuel system, you got them a new customer (when she gets her car back). I say you should be the Marketing and Advertising rep therefore getting discounts!!! lol jk
Would you believe an 8.71 (if I recall) for a highly modded SRT-4 @ about 170 mph? It's on Google.....
